Born in India and raised in Canada, Suleka Mathew has worked extensively as a professional actress for more than 20 years in film, television, radio and theater. Best-known for her starring roles in the romantic comedy series Men in Trees and the drama Da Vinci’s Inquest, she earned three Leo Award nominations for Best Actress for her role in The Latter, the critically acclaimed crime drama series.
Mathew’s latest film credits include co-starring in the Sundance hit Touch of Pink, directed by Ian Iqbal Rashid, and Deepa Mehta’s romantic comedy Republic of Love. Memorable television performances include recurring roles on The West Wing, The Crow and The Dead Zone. She also co-starred with Campbell Scott and Darryl Hannah in the sci-fi miniseries Final Days of Planet Earth.
Mathew was part of the multi-discipline cast of the award winning film Shadow Pleasures, inspired by the work of Michael Ondaatje.
