OTTAWA – She’s got one hand in her pocket and the other one is wearing a wedding ring. Ottawa’s Alanis Morissette is now a married woman.
"Hi guys! So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married," Morissette writes on her Facebook page. "We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other….sending love…connect soon xo – Alanis"
Morissette married singer and rapper Mario Treadway, A.K.A. Souleye, 30, on May 22.
The couple were wed in a private ceremony with family at their L.A. home, just a week before Morissette celebrated her 36th birthday. It’s the first marriage for both.
Morissette was previously engaged for two years to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, who is now married to American actress Scarlett Johansson.
On Thursday, Morissette is scheduled to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
