Police say missing senior with dementia found unharmed in Edmonton

Hours after asking for the public’s help finding a 79-year-old man with dementia who went missing, the Edmonton Police Service said he was found “safe and unharmed.”

In a news release issued Thursday night, police said they were trying to find a man who left his seniors residence in the area of 95 Street and 103A Avenue at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday. He was last seen about three hours later, at the Jasper Place Transit Centre at 157 Street and Stony Plain Road.

Early Friday morning policee said he was found. They did not say how or where he was found.
