“This collision caused the VW Sedan to be pushed into oncoming traffic where a secondary collision occurred with a Dodge truck.  Unfortunately, the occupants of the VW Sedan succumbed to their injuries at the scene.  The victims, a man and woman in their 50’s, were residents of Surrey.”

Two people were also sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

A nearby resident, who witnessed some of the aftermath, has serious concerns with 32 Ave. at that time of day.

“I’ve been living here for 18 years,” Sherryl Vensel said.

“People don’t realize, the sun is blinding and it’s blinding all the way down the road (here).

“You can not see anything at that time of day.”
