Edmonton – It’s not a happy Thanksgiving for Edmonton Oilers forward Nail Yakupov.
The 2012 first overall pick will be a healthy scratch for a second straight game Monday night, when the Oilers visit the Washington Capitals.
After leading all NHL rookies in goals last season with 17 and finishing in a tie for most points with 31, Yakupov has zero points in four games to start the year.
Jason LaBarbera will get the start in net against Washington.
Devon Dubnyk allowed six goals in an overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night.
Dubynk has a 5.43 Goals Against Average (GAA) and .829 Save Percentage (SV%) in four games this season.
LaBarbera has a 2.69 GAA and .892 SV% in two games.
