KELOWNA — After a red hot week, Rockets rookie Nick Merkley is getting some national attention.
The 16-year-old has been named the Canadian Hockey League’s Player of the Week along with WHL Player of the Week.

Merkley notched three multi-point games between Sept. 30th and Oct. 6th. with four goals and two assists to his name.
Albeit a rookie, he’s no stranger to a Rockets uniform making his first WHL debut for Kelowna in last seasons playoffs.
Merkley was Kelowna’s first round pick in the 2012 Bantam Draft.
