At about 6:50 a.m., Parkland County RCMP responded to a hit-and-run collision between a motorcycle and a truck. It happened on Highway 44 on the overpass at Highway 16 near Acheson, Alta.

On Tuesday, RCMP released more details about the suspect truck in an effort to identify the driver.

RCMP say the hit and run happened on the south side of the Highway 44 overpass at Highway 16. The truck then fled westbound on Highway 16 toward Spruce Grove, according to police.

RCMP said it was either a grey or silver Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab with a short box and stock rims, possibly manufactured between 2003 and 2005.

Police said it would have heavy front-end damage from the collision.

Anyone who can identify the truck or the driver is asked to contact the Parkland RCMP at 825-220-2000.
