SASKATOON – A new tentative trial date has been set for a Saskatoon man accused of murdering his wife.
David Woods was to face a judge in late September on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Dorothy Woods but he fired his lawyer, delaying the trial.

Dorothy Woods’ body was found in a culvert near Blackstrap two months after she was reported missing in late 2011.
Woods appeared in court Monday and will officially make an application for a court appointed lawyer.
He’s due back in court in two weeks.
A four-week trial has been penciled in for next year starting on April 28.
