TORONTO — Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she was once advised to lose weight or risk damaging her film career.
“It was just the kind of s*** that actresses have to go through,” she told the UK edition of Harper’s Bazaar. “Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight.”

Lawrence, 23, said she was hurt by the comment and vowed she would never allow anyone else to weigh in on her body.
“If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet,’ I’m like, ‘You can go f*** yourself,'” the Silver Linings Playbook star said.
Lawrence admitted to having a weakness for potato chips while on the job.
“It’s not my performance that is motivating me,” she explained. “I want to get the on-set catering.”
Lawrence is currently filming the third Hunger Games movie (the second instalment is out Nov. 22). She spent part of her summer in Montreal filming X-Men: Days of Future Past.
