REGINA – Saskatchewan’s Premier Brad Wall is currently in Asia to boost business, and in Japan Mrs. Wall christened a new ship that will carry Saskatchewan potash all over the world.

The Ultra Regina is an I-star 61,000 dead weight tonnage dry cargo bulker and was built by Japan’s largest shipbuilder Imabari Shipbuliding Co. LTD.

This is the eighth vessel built and delivered under a contract with Canpotex.

The ship’s maiden voyage will see it heading to Vancouver to pick up potash bound for India.
