Police say around 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday officers were called to the area for a report of a man in the area with a knife. The caller and man know each other.

Police say they saw a man with a machete at the back door of the home, who went inside shortly after.

Officers found the man had conditions to not possess a knife and officers also believed that a firearm may have been in the home.

The tactical support unit was called in to assist with a warrant for the man’s arrest.

The suspect was taken into custody just before 9 a.m.

According to police, after further investigation by the SPS guns and gangs unit, ammunition, a machete and a knife were found inside the residence.
