In hopes of bringing light to the dark world of cancer, participants carried illuminated lanterns to showcase their relation to the cause. Walkers carried either a red, white or gold coloured lantern.

“People walking with red lanterns are walking in support of somebody impacted by blood cancer. People walking with white are walking as survivors. And people walking with gold lanterns are walking in memory of a loved one lost,” Cox explained.
