Halifax police investigating sudden death

DARTMOUTH – Halifax Regional Police are currently investigating a sudden death in Dartmouth.

Officers were called around 11:15 a.m. Saturday morning to an apartment unit in the 0-100 block of Highfield Park Dr.

When they arrived, they found a deceased male, believed to be in his fifties. According to police, the circumstances surrounding the man’s death appear to be suspicious in nature.

Neighbours tell Global News officers were canvassing nearby apartment units and asking residents if they heard anything out of the ordinary overnight.

A medical examiner has been called to the scene. Police stress the investigation is in its early stages and that additional information will be released when appropriate.
