TORONTO – Michael Gross says his former Family Ties co-star Meredith Baxter is getting remarried.
The actor says he recently received a wedding invitation announcing plans for Baxter to wed longtime girlfriend Nancy Locke.
Gross says the ceremony will take place in southern California in December.
Baxter married three times previously. That included a 15-year union to actor David Birney that ended bitterly in 1989.

In 2011, Baxter released a memoir that chronicled her December 2009 decision to come out as a lesbian. It also detailed her rise to stardom, battles with alcoholism and cancer, and failed marriages.
Gross says he’s thrilled for the couple, and jokes that as Baxter’s longtime friend he should “be giving her away.”
The 66-year-old, who played the hippie husband of Baxter’s character on the ’80s sitcom Family Ties, says he is happy for the couple.
“I’m thrilled about that, that’s really big news,” Gross said Wednesday, adding that he was also a fan of Locke’s.
“She’s a great person and as it turns out my wife’s family knows Nancy very well, or knows her family.”
Gross says he and Baxter remain close some three decades after introducing viewers to the fictional Keaton clan in Family Ties, about a pair of former ’60s flower children who end up having an ardently Republican son, played by Canadian actor Michael J. Fox.
