Head-on crash closes highway north of Saskatoon

SASKATOON – RCMP say a head-on collision north of Saskatoon has closed a portion of Highway 12.

Emergency services are currently on the scene of a collision between a northbound semi and a southbound car.

Highway 12 at Petrofka Bridge will remain closed until the on-scene investigation is completed and the scene is cleared.

This work should take several hours.

There is a detour around the collision and the closure will be lifted around 9 p.m.

Mounties are asking motorists to avoid the area and slow to 60 km/h when passing emergency workers.
