PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – A 44-year-old man apprehended by Saskatoon police last week has been charged with attempted murder in Prince Albert, Sask.
Kyle Michael Boychuk,44, has been remanded in custody since his arrest and was set to make his second appearance on Monday.

The charge stems from a stabbing that was reported to Prince Albert police in the early hours of Sept. 18.
Officers responded to a residence in the 1200-block of 14th Street West and located a 29-year-old victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Police said the two men know each other and the initial investigation indicates they were partying together prior to the stabbing.
Boychuk fled the scene prior to police arriving and was arrested by police in Saskatoon a few hours later.
The charge was laid after a review of the file and consultation with the Crown Prosecutor.
