Marie Manning, a spokeswoman for the St. John’s International Airport Authority, says it will be up to the crew to determine if it can take off again.

Emergency crews responded to the landing, as is standard procedure, but Manning says it’s for Air France to offer more detail on the technical problem.

A spokesperson for Air France could not be immediately reached.
