A 500-room hotel and casino are part of a new design of a domed stadium.
Canadian architect Douglas Cardinal designed the concept after the Independent First Nations of Saskatchewan asked him to. The design, which would be located in downtown Regina, is said to be inspired by the rolling-prairie landscape. The stadium would host the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ home games.
The project would cost about $1.2 billion dollars.
There are reports the proposal involves the government selling Casino Regina, an option the government was previously kiboshed.
