A major construction project begins along West Georgia Street in Vancouver this Monday, and traffic is expected to be delayed for commuters who use the main artery in and out of the city.
The Georgia Street corridor heading in and out of Stanley Park is a busy one at the best of times, especially during the morning and afternoon commutes and major events.
But starting on Monday, the city is warning about major construction delays.
According to the city of Vancouver, their crews will be replacing the aging water main infrastructure along West Georgia.
During the project, two lanes will be open to traffic in each direction.
Between Thurlow and Cardero, Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and occasionally on weekends, the area will be a traffic crunch.
The project is set to last from Monday morning to the end of November.
