SALMON ARM — Gort’s Gouda Cheese Farm says it’s been a nightmare since an E. coli outbreak was linked to its products.
“First off, I’d like to say how sorry we are as family and staff for the people who got sick from our product” says Gort’s Gouda Cheese Farm owner Gary Wikkerink.

Fourteen types of cheese have been re-called, while investigators from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency try to track down the source of the E. coli contamination.
The affected product was sold at stores in B.C., Alberta and over the internet between the end of May and last Saturday.
People who have eaten Gort’s brand cheese in the past ten days and feel sick should see a doctor right away. Anyone who has the cheese at home should dispose of it.
