STURGIS, Sask. – A 19-year-old man from Sturgis, Sask. is facing a number of charges, including drunk driving causing death, after a fatal crash in 2011.
The crash happened on Sept. 24, 2011 on Highway 47, approximately 14 kilometres south of Preeceville when a southbound pickup truck lost control and entered a ditch then hit a culvert before rolling.

Two men in the truck, 19 and 20, were killed in the crash.
Both were from Sturgis.
Five other people were injured, two of them seriously.
The driver has been charged with two counts each of impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm, dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He cannot be named as he was a youth at the time of the crash.
His first court appearance is set for Oct. 3 in Canora.
