The Vancouver Police are warning women to stay alert while walking, and to try and walk with someone else if they can, after three women were attacked at separate times along a busy Vancouver street.
The first incident took place on September 2 on Cambie Street, in the area of West 18 Avenue. A 24-year-old woman was walking alone at about 3:30 a.m. when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown man.
The second incident happened September 5 at about 1 a.m. when a 23-year-old woman was walking alone near the intersection of Cambie and West 29 Avenue. She was also grabbed from behind.
The most recent incident happened on September 8 at 1 a.m. A 19-year-old woman was walking near Cambie and West 55 Avenue when she was knocked to the ground from behind.
The Vancouver Police say in all three incidents, the women screamed, fought back, and the attacker ran away. All three women describe their attacker as Caucasian and of average height and build.

The VPD has issued some personal safety tips for everyone:
Be aware of your surroundings – the use of earphones make it hard to be fully aware of an attacker approaching stay alert and walk with a sense of purpose, walk with a friend, use well-lit streets, stay to the middle of the sidewalk and avoid alleyways.
