In the new issue of Seventeen magazine, the star of the upcoming made-in-Toronto remake of Carrie said she saw first-hand how her brothers were treated.
“I have two gay brothers and two straight brothers,” said the 16-year-old, “and my gay brothers were treated horrifically until they grew up and understood how to deal with it.”
Moretz and her older brothers Brandon, Colin, Ethan and Trevor were raised in Georgia.
The October issue of Seventeen is on newsstands Sept. 17.
