HandyDART workers back to work Monday

METRO VANCOUVER – Five hundred striking employees of HandyDART, members of the Amalgamated Transit Union, are removing their pickets and will resume work Monday after management agreed to put the contract dispute to binding arbitration under veteran arbitrator Vince Ready.

TransLink CEO Ian Jarvis said HandyDART, which provides transportation for the disabled, should be back with full service by the week of January 11.

A settlement between HandyDART and the Amalgamated Transit Union, will be a first contract,
