Canadians are being warned not to consume a line of Slim-Fast ready-to-drink meal replacements because they may be contaminated with a bacteria that can cause severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

The shakes–packaged in paperboard cartons that contain six 325 mL steel cans–may be contaminated with Bacillus cereus, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a statement issued Thursday.
But agency officials said that the probability of serious adverse health effects was remote.
