Halifax police lay more charges against ‘Pillowcase Bandits’

HALIFAX – Police in Halifax have laid new charges against three alleged members of the Pillowcase Bandits, a break-and-enter ring that targeted properties in three counties.

Twenty-eight-year-old Ryan Jefferies Marriott, his brother 26-year-old Jason Patrick Marriott and 22-year-old Cory Mitchell Jollimore were arrested Wednesday at their Halifax residences.

They were arraigned in court Thursday on a variety of charges.

They are charged with three commercial break-ins last November – two at a Needs convenience store in Bayers Lake Business Park in Halifax and one at Fitzgerald’s Grocery in Timberlea – and possession of stolen property from each of those incidents.

The men were arrested July 15 in connection with break-ins at 30 dwellings or businesses in Halifax, Lunenburg, Colchester and Hants counties between Feb. 15 and April 24 of this year.

The charges included break, enter and theft, possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit break and enter, conspiracy to traffic in stolen goods and participating in a criminal organization.
