KINGSTON, Ont. – Three men have been arrested after a Kingston resident suffered serious injuries in an alleged group assault that followed the egging of his home.
Police say a man living in Kingston’s west-end was woken up early Saturday morning by a group of five people throwing eggs at his residence.
The man then chased the group, who ran towards a secluded grassy area.
Once there, police say the man was allegedly assaulted by three men in the group while two women in the group looked on.
Police say the victim suffered serious injuries, some of which were reportedly from being kicked while he was on the ground.
The man’s wife called police, who found the suspects a short distance away.
Brandon Paul Patry, 19, Matthew Robert Blakely, 20, and Michael Alexander Claro, 18, have been charged with assault causing bodily harm and mischief under $5000.
