Third crop duster crash kills pilot

ROSE VALLEY, Sask. – The pilot of a crop duster is dead after his plane crashed last Friday.

RCMP say the plane went down in a field west of community during the mid-morning hours.

The 31-year-old pilot was declared dead at the scene.

RCMP and the Transport Safety Board are investigating.

It was the third crop duster crash in the province in a four-day period.

A crop duster crashed southeast of Nipawin after a wheel clipped the ground during a turn. The pilot was not injured.

On Tuesday, a pilot suffered minor injuries after a crop duster crashed just outside Quill Lake.
