The spill was caused by a tractor-trailer crash near Guelph Line.

Police say another collision closed the express lanes of the eastbound 401 just before Highway 404, which turns into the Don Valley Parkway. All lanes were reopened to traffic at 10 a.m. after being closed for about two hours.

Vehicles are also being rerouted because of a third crash west of Port Hope on the eastbound 401. Those vehicles are being redirected to Wesleyville Road.
