WINNIPEG — A hydraulic fluid spill in St. James slowed traffic on several streets in the area, including the St. James Bridge, on Wednesday night.

A vehicle leaked hydraulic fluid on Route 90, police said, creating a spill believed to be 180 to 240 metres long.

Southbound traffic on Kenaston Boulevard slowed down as the roadway was reduced to one lane. Traffic was backed up from the Kenaston off ramp to Ellice Avenue. Cadets blocked traffic at the on ramp from Portage Avenue onto Route 90.
