Manitoba’s money man over the last decade, Greg Selinger, made it official today.
“Today I confirm I am a candidate for the leadership of the NDP.”
In a packed room of supporters, including eleven NDP MLAs, four of them cabinet ministers, 58-year-old Greg Selinger joined Andrew Swan and Steve Ashton in the race to replace Premier Gary Doer next month.
With the show of caucus support today, the now former Finance Minister is seen by many as the candidate to beat. But all three hopefuls will have five weeks to convince delegates heading to the October 17th convention to vote for them.
