Police say the cab was stolen on Wednesday while it was parked (near Bloor Street and Islington Avenue).

The car was taken at some point between 12:45 a.m. and 3:45 a.m.

Because the taxi is possibly being illegally operated by an unknown person, there is no way for a passenger to confirm the driver’s identity.

For this reason, police say public safety has been compromised.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the rogue taxi, and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
