Manitoba RCMP say a Winnipeg man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant thought to have been armed with a submachine gun has been caught.
The 29-year-old man is wanted on a warrant for uttering threats and a cross-country warrant for violating his parole.
He is on parole for a number of charges including break, enter, and commit robbery; possession of a loaded, prohibited or restricted firearm; aggravated assault; and assault with a weapon, police said earlier this week.
Mounties released a photo of the man Thursday and asked for the public’s help tracking him down.
On Friday afternoon police the man was located and taken into custody after a number of tips from the public.
