SASKATOON – A family is safe after smoke detectors alerted them to a fire in their house early Wednesday morning.

Fire crews were called to the fire at 510 Bronson Crescent at 3:25 a.m. where they found smoke in the house.

All occupants were out of the house when crews arrived.

The fire in the basement was quickly put out by firefighters.

All occupants were out of the house when crews arrived after being woken by the smoke detectors.

No injuries were reported and damage is estimated at $10,000.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
