Saskatoon EX prepares for big attendance

SASKATOON – Rides were rolling in and organizers were busy Monday making sure everything will be ready for the 2013 Saskatoon Exhibition.

The Ex opens Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. with over 48 midway rides, 70 performers and 60 concessions.

There will be a few new additions this year including the “Mach 3” ride.

Organizers say they’re hoping to shatter yet another attendance record in the Bridge City.

“Last year we had 221,154. I would love to see 225,000 coming out this year that would be great. The weather looks good, as long as it’s on our side that makes a big difference for us,” said Carl Schlosser, Prairieland Park Events Director.

If residents are looking to save a few bucks on entrance fees, those who show up between 3 and 5 p.m. get in for $5 on Tuesday.

The EX runs until August 11.
