Edward Snowden: the video game

With his new Russian asylum papers in hand, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden may not be on the run any more, but a cyber-version of his flight is now the basis of a new video game by a Belgian developer.

At the start, the Snowden character runs through a hallway at NSA headquarters and collects USB sticks, hoping not to get caught and shipped to Guantanamo Bay, with a bald “Agent Jack” at his heels.

Phase three takes place at Moscow’s main airport, where he fled and remained in diplomatic limbo for weeks until the Russian government granted him temporary asylum.
