With his new Russian asylum papers in hand, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden may not be on the run any more, but a cyber-version of his flight is now the basis of a new video game by a Belgian developer.
In “Snowden Run 3D”, a version of the wildly popular infinite runner-genre games, players take up the role of Snowden and try to avoid the clutches of a U.S. special agent who is after him.

At the start, the Snowden character runs through a hallway at NSA headquarters and collects USB sticks, hoping not to get caught and shipped to Guantanamo Bay, with a bald “Agent Jack” at his heels.
Then it’s off to Hong Kong, where Snowden first surfaced as a self-styled whistleblower.
Phase three takes place at Moscow’s main airport, where he fled and remained in diplomatic limbo for weeks until the Russian government granted him temporary asylum.
Snowden run 3d is available for free download on android smart phones and PC’s.
An IOS version for apple products is under way.
