Three men aboard a row boat were rescued by two ferries off of Tsawwassen terminal this afternoon.
The men were fishing between the terminal and Roberts Bank when their boat flipped and they ended up in the water.
Deborah Marshall with BC Ferries says a passenger aboard a ferry witnessed the incident and alerted the crew.
Both the Spirit of Vancouver Island and the Coastal Inspiration were in the vicinity and came to the rescue.
The men were taken to Tsawwassen terminal. All three were wearing their life jackets at the of the accident.
Their boat was also towed back to the terminal.
The Spirit of Vancouver Island, which operates on the Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay route, is about 25 minutes late as a result.
The Coastal Inspiration, which sails between Tsawwassen and Duke Point, is about 55 minutes late.
