OTTAWA – A recall of an Italian-made cheese has been expanded to include additional varieties because of possible Listeria contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is asking consumers to avoid eating the Igor brand Gorgonzola Dolce, Gorgonzola Piccante and Gorgonzola Dolce DOP cheeses.

On Monday, the agency had warned consumers against eating Igor’s Gorgonzola Igorcreme DOP cheese.
The products were distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia but the CFIA says they may have been distributed in other provinces.
There are no reported illnesses linked to the products, imported by Agropur of St-Hubert, Que.
Food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but it can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea.
