A safety advisory has been issued for a popular child’s toy.
Australia-based Playgro is warning consumers its Musical Pullstring Toys may pose a choking hazard to children. The recall affects nearly 7000 toys sold in Canada from August 2007 through November 2008. The model number is 101144. if you have this toy you can contact the manufacturer for a credit.

On December 2, 2008, Playgro Pty Ltd. of Melbourne, Australia, issued a voluntary Safety Advisory concerning certain Toy Box by PlaygroTM
Musical Pullstring toys due to a potential choking hazard.
The propeller toy affixed to the front of the pullstring toy may become detached, exposing the child to small parts.
There have been no incidents reported in Canada, or elsewhere.
In Canada, this Safety Advisory affects only the Toy Box by PlaygroTM Musical Pullstring Toy Model #101144, with PO #28997 or PO #27082
indicated on the tag attached to the product.
In Canada, approximately 6,950 of the Toy Box by PlaygroTM Musical Pullstring toys were sold nationwide by major retailers and independent
retailers from August 2007 through November 2008.
