Joe Biden is set to become the next president of the United States.
But some states are still continuing to count votes and Global News has live, real-time results in the 2020 U.S. election that will update continuously as results trickle in.
Shortly before noon ET on Saturday, The Associated Press projected Biden would win Pennsylvania, putting him over the 270 Electoral College vote needed to secure an election win. At the time of the call, Alaska, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina were all also considered too close to call.
Soon after the Associated Press projected Biden the winner of the election, his campaign put out a statement saying he was “humbled by the trust the American people have placed in me and in Vice President-Elect Harris.”
“In the face of unprecedented obstacles, a record number of Americans voted. Proving once again, that democracy beats deep in the heart of America.”
Trump, though, has so far refused to concede, saying “the simple fact is this election is far from over.”
