Bell MTS says it’s resolved service issues that had left some Manitoba customers unable to reach 911 Wednesday.
Winnipeg police had warned that 911 may not be working for Bell MTS customers earlier in the day.
Bell MTS spokesperson Andrew Parkinson confirmed in an email to Global News that some Bell MTS wireless customers “may be experiencing intermittent service issues.”
He said the issues “could potentially affect” all Bell MTS wireless customers, meaning 911 services may be affected outside Winnipeg as well.
In an email sent around 2:30 p.m. Parkinson said full service has since been restored for customers.
“We continue to investigate the cause of the disruption and apologize for the inconvenience,” he said.
There was no immediate word on what caused the issues.
