Positive COVID-19 case at Rosthern, Sask., hospital

UPDATE: The Rosthern Hospital reopened at 8 a.m. Monday, with emergency and outpatient services resumed.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority closed the Rosthern Hospital Sunday following a positive COVID-19 case.

The SHA closed the hospital at 2 p.m., Sunday and gave notice it would remain closed until further notice.

Public health said associated contact tracing was underway within the hospital.

The latest health and medical news emailed to you every Sunday.

During that time, emergency services and all outpatient services were not available at the facility.

In the event of an emergency, the SHA advised people to call 911.

Non-urgent health-related questions could be directed to the provincial health line by calling 811.

Rosthern, Sask., is located about 65 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
