Officials say several emergency responders were taken to hospital after a house fire in Mississauga’s east end on Tuesday.
Emergency crews were called to the blaze on Dalewood Drive, in the area of Goreway Drive and Derry Road, shortly before 5 p.m.
A spokesperson for Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services said when crews arrived at the scene, there was a “substantial amount of fire” and a “very distraught” person hanging out of a second-floor window.
Three occupants were in the home, all of whom were taken to hospital, the spokesperson said. Two had minor injuries and the third was reported to be in serious but stable condition.
