HALIFAX – Halifax police allege a man who was gunned down while delivering pizza was killed over an earlier dispute with the two men charged in his death.
Donald Chad Smith was fatally shot outside a building on Joseph Young Street in Dartmouth on Oct. 23, 2010.
Const. Pierre Bourdages says the 27-year-old pizza delivery man was lured to the building and killed.
Randy Desmond Riley, 21, of Dartmouth and Nathan Tremain Johnson, 21, of Cherry Brook are charged with first degree murder. They will appear in Dartmouth court Thursday morning and have been in police custody since Wednesday.
A 26-year-old man, formerly of Dartmouth, was arrested on Wednesday in relation to the case, but was released without charges.
