CALGARY- Animal rights activists staged a silent protest outside the Calgary Courts Centre on Monday afternoon, protesting a controversial zoo.
The Council of Concerned Albertans for Animal Welfare and Public Safety is demanding that Guzoo be shut down.

They also want to know why the provincial government continues to allow the zoo near Three Hills to operate.
Guzoo has been a frequent target of activists who claim the animals are improperly cared for. Just a couple of months ago, the animal farm asked RCMP to investigate reports of vandalism.
Guzoo is a family owned and operated farm, which was started in 1992. It is home to over 400 animals.
