The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission approved the pay-television service last Wednesday, allowing northern peaks to become “Canada’s first adult video channel offering significant Canadian adult content.”
The channel must negotiate rates and carriage on Canada’s cable and satellite television distributors, and receiving a license is no guarantee that cable or satellite companies will pick up the channel.
