The hit TV show Glee will pay tribute to Canadian actor Cory Monteith in a special episode before going on hiatus.

The episode will address the death of Monteith’s character Finn Hudson, according to executive producer Ryan Murphy.

Monteith’s character had graduated from the high school where Glee is set but remained part of the show.

The tribute will be the third episode of Glee’s fifth season, which starts on Sept. 26.

Murphy said the series will then go on hiatus while the direction of the show is reassessed.

Monteith died at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in Vancouver last week after mixing a lethal dose of heroin and alcohol.
