Hamilton police say a man who was pulled from Lake Ontario without vital signs along Hamilton‘s north east shoreline has died.
A Hamilton Paramedic Service spokesperson told Global News emergency crews were called to Van Wagner’s Beach near Beach Boulevard shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday for reports a man was found off the beach in Lake Ontario.
The spokesperson said the 21-year-old man entered the water and had not resurfaced, and was pulled from the water at around 7:50 p.m about 30 meters offshore.

The man was subsequently taken to hospital.

Police say the Hamilton resident succumbed to his injuries early Friday morning.
Police say they will not be releasing the identity of the man.
