2 people killed, 1 in serious condition after northwest Calgary shooting: police

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting in northwest Calgary Friday evening that left two people dead and one person in serious condition.

Police said officers were called for reports of a shooting in the community of Sandstone Valley at around 8:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found the bodies of two men in their 20s in a vehicle and a third man in his 20s who was injured from gunshot wounds, according to police.

EMS said the injured man was taken to hospital in potentially life-threatening condition.

Police said investigators believe this was a targeted attack.

There are no suspects in custody at this time, police said.
