Kelowna RCMP say a man was treated for injuries after getting shot on Wednesday morning.
According to police, the man was shot around 11 a.m., at the Ramada Hotel on Harvey Avenue.
Police say officers found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Police believed the injuries were minor.
“Officers remain on scene conducting neighbourhood canvassing, speaking with witnesses, and gathering physical evidence,” said Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy.

“The investigation is still in its early stages and officers will be in the area for an undetermined period of time.”

Several police officers are at the scene. Witnesses describe hearing gunshots, then seeing a fleeing suspect.
Police say they aren’t releasing more information at this time, but are urging witnesses to come forward and contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
